Teen ​BTW Schedule & Information:

  • Flexible on weekdays & holidays.
  • Preferred start day: Monday.
  • Availability before or afterschool.
  • If before: Pickup at home > drop at school.
  • If after: Pickup at school > drop at home.
  • Sessions can be made up.
  • Does not have to be consecutive days.
  • You will be emailed a start date confirmation within 24hrs.
  • During Summer: we will be available from mornings to late noon time frame. There won't be evening time slots available.
  • Parallel Parking & Highway merging are not part of the course. The instructor will teach at their own discretion.

Important Info as of 1/1/2021

  • Juvenile Licensing Ceremonies have been waived.
  • You will automatically receive your license in the mail directly from the DMV.
  • Courts may return to their regular licensing ceremonies within 90 days provided per the Governor.

Teen Behind the Wheel | Course Information | Drivers License for under 18yrs old

For Teens (16-17yrs) looking to get their Drivers License. Required for anyone under 18yrs.

* PLEASE BE ADVISED *

- NO SANDALS/SLIPPERS/SLIDES WHILE DRIVING.

- CLASSES MIGHT GET CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER.

​- IF YOU START THE COURSE AND DO NOT RESPOND TO SA DRIVING FOR 30 DAYS, THEN THE COURSE WILL BE CANCELLED & NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED.

Checklist & ​Requirements:

  • DEC Pink Slip (Obtained from Guidance Counselor) or an online Drivers Education Certificate.
  • 45hrs Training with Parents/Family (30h Day & 15h Night)
  • Learner's Permit + Photocopy of Learner's Permit
  • Hold your Learner's Permit close to 9 Months
  • ​SA Driving School Inc Parent's Contract
  • We collect all documents & payment when you start.

Online Driver's Education:

  • Course Price: $175
  • 30hrs online self paced course + 90mins Parent Teen meeting included.
  • Consists of 7 chapters, quiz, & final test .
  • Certificate will be issued upon completion.
  • Payment will be taken in advanced via online pay - on Register page.
  • After payment, you will receive your User ID and Password to complete the course.
  • This is a non-refundable course. We offer this course through an affiliate. Recommended to eventually do Behind the Wheel with us.

Student: Under 18yrs only

  • Course Price: $350
  • 7 Days Course - Two 50min sessions each day + Road Test.
  • Driving, Observation, & Road Test are included in BTW
  • Pickup & Dropoff is free (within range).
  • Sessions do not have to be consecutive.
  • Time of Operation: 7am-7pm (time varies)
  • These are NOT Driving Lessons. This is an assessment course of your driving skills. 45hrs minimum training required. 
  • If the instructor determines you are not ready for this course (1st session), then we will cancel the remaining sessions and you will be charged a $50 fee for the session.

​​​Upon Completion of Teen BTW:

  • Once completed, the Teen receives a 180 days temporary driving license through SA Driving School Inc.


  • ​Option 1: Within 90-120 days of completion, you will receive your drivers license from the DMV in the mail. Follow up with us if not received within 90-120 days.


  • Option 2: Visit the DMV at your convenience after the temporary license eligibility date. Take your permit + temp license + DL1P form​.


  • Please note: SA Driving School Inc submits all Teen License paperwork at the end of each month to the DMV. We are not responsible for any delays caused by DMV License Processing.
